2012 Cabaret Conductor Contest
Our annual Cabaret concert features the Guest Conductor’s Competition, where prominent members of our community vie for the opportunity to conduct the orchestra in the final piece of the evening, Stars and Stripes Forever. In order to win the competition candidates must garner the most “votes”. One vote = one dollar. The contestant, who raises the most, wins the competition. All proceeds benefit the Catskill Symphony Orchestra, and this event has proven to be our biggest fundraiser of the season. This year’s candidates are: BEN GUENTHER, Owner, Five Star Subaru of Oneonta, JIM KEVLIN, Editor and Publisher, Hometown Oneonta, and LUISA MONTANTI, Manager, Southside Mall.
